A Vision Bold Enough to Save the World!
Description: Don’t miss this interactive, visionary, and positive workshop. Ending the war in Iraq is essential, but it is not enough to build long-term peace. The Network of Spiritual Progressives invites you to join us as we begin a journey to do nothing less than save the world.
The Global Marshall Plan is premised on the notion that generosity and solidarity with all peoples are better routes to homeland security than are domination and control. Taking serious action to improve the well-being of all peoples will help to dry up anti-American sentiment that provides the breeding ground for terrorism, thus helping safeguard the well-being of Americans.
Under the Global Marshall Plan, the United States would lead the other G-8 nations in dedicating an amount equivalent to 1-2% of each country's gross domestic product each year for the next twenty years to eliminating poverty and to healing the environmental crisis.
2008 will be an exciting year to be involved with the Global Marshall Plan. We are currently soliciting endorsements from as many individuals and organizations as possible, and we are working with legislators to introduce an initial resolution in Congress. Join us and experience the joy of working with others to bring about a positive vision for peace with justice.
